Plot summary

Following Mason's life from age 6 to 18, Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" captures the growing pains of a Texas boy from elementary school to graduation. For twelve long years, uncomfortable decisions, challenging changes, and emotional experiences mould Mason's personality as he grows up in a single-parent family. As life unfolds, vivid vignettes document family gatherings, road trips, birthday parties, graduations and other pivotal milestones, along with in-between episodes.
